A miraculous syrah brings life to a life draining day. Before I start I just want you all to know that I sought to post about this miracle elixir yesterday however the powers that be, Ra, Zeus, Marduk, made that action an impossibly. However today is a new day and the said predestine action can transpire.
To understand why this red wine made my day we must first travel back in time to the time of dinosaurs and powdered wigs, otherwise known as Monday. It started like any other Monday, snooze button, snooze button, snooze button, lunch (which was Chipotle), transactions among colleagues, mental calisthenics with the opposite sex, and the always present work bearing down on your hero. A typical, not to be confused with atypical, Monday indeed. And after parking my baby in my rented parking space and starting the walk home the annoying hunger in my stomach trigger me to change my direction to the 7-11 in hopes of a quick snack, XXX vitamin water and a Slim Jim. As I crossed the street to the 7-11 a sweet voice told me to walk two more building over and just like Howard Carter I found the Discovery Channel of a lifetime. A quaint place that serves mind-blowing tacos and the miraculous syrah, a great combo by the way.
In any case the tacos and syrah re-energized my core and inspired me to work on some artwork which I just got back from the printer.

just looked at yours... awesome! i didn't realize you were the guy who recently posted that figure in skull undies. i love that type of stark, graphic work. i have this student (the same one mentioned in a post below) who does similar work, but teeters on the edge. it's like he can't decide if his style is 'painterly' or 'graphic', but he thinks he wants to go into design. would you mind if i shared your site with him? it won't be for awhile, lol... we don't go back until september. this kid really stays on my mind though, i really want to give him as many resources as possible. god knows he's gone without for his entire life.

with the green being yellow green ...kinda sepia green i want to do her lips nipples and maybe her finger nails maybe a burnt umber mixed with that iron oxide purple...but i figured if i said watch you would ask why...and the nipples and lips and fingers and toes were too much...plus the tips of her hair and just the watch would pop out the form you felt was sinking and passion would ad more of the yang...or is it yen.......i was going to save it and monkey with it but people get all mad bout that....plus i ain't an artist...so would proably butcher it...like the piece though just how it is

you have a very strong composition there. If it comes naturally to you, you're quite lucky. The negative space echos the triangular shape of the breasts, and it's suggested again by the tilt of the head and pelvis. The dark spaces and light spaces are well proportioned.
My only negative remark would be that it's more illustration than art. Not that it's not art, it is, it's just more representational than inspirational.

in the black area by the curve of the arm being reflected in the ditering to the right...it is called compisitionally balanced tension...the tension is what bothers you but believe it or not is is truely the essance of what makes this art and without it it would be just a drawing of a woman on black...and not worth comment....i have a hard time with that too...but it is good you are not satisfied...
